Lent Photography Walks

This Lent we invite you to use photography to slow down and notice what’s around you.

Throughout Lent from 22 Feb until Easter Sunday we invite you to go outside and use your phone camera to take photos of things that capture your attention. This could be anything at all - not just what might traditionally be regarded as ‘beautiful’. The aim is to slow down and notice.

You could take a daily 10 minute walk around your neighbourhood or stroll to a park. You could take photos in your home or on the way to work.

Slow down and notice what’s around you. It might help to become aware of your breathing as you walk as this can help us to relax.

Questions to ask yourself as you walk and take photos:

  • What do I see?

  • What do I hear?

  • What do I notice?

  • Where do I see the image of God reflected?

  • What is this telling me?

Get in touch with us at admin@ascensionchurchhulme.co.uk if you’d like to take part.

This Lent Photography Walk challenge is brought to you by Ascension Church Hulme’s Fire & Gold group which meets for an hour of stillness every Sunday 8-9pm.
